Successful finish of June’s Cirkuliranje! The month of June witnessed an incredible journey marked by the number three. We circulated through three captivating locales, spanning two countries – Romania and Serbia. All in all, we had a good festival.
The triumphant conclusion of June’s Cirkuliranje showcased the project that captured migrations, stories, and community memories through the lens, all in collaboration with the Fotografa Factory from Belgrade and the Prin Banat Association. More from previous news here.
For the realization of this project, stories provided to the audience by the Prin Banat association were used, and you can read them here and here. Based on this, and the foundation of this project, which is migrations, a conceptual framework was crafted, which you can read about here.

The tour kick-started in Temišvar, the European Capital of Culture for 2023. Photography enthusiasts from Serbia, Hungary, and Romania united to capture the city’s essence, defying the ever-changing weather. Locals and Temišvar enthusiasts offered unwavering support, guiding us through the historical city’s contrasts. More from previous news here.

And the journey continued! The charming town of Vršac welcomed us, where, apart from capturing moments on film, a series of exciting events awaited.

Kovačica
The final stop of this year’s Cirkuliranje was Kovačica, along with Padina and Pančevo. Striking Kovačica, with its authenticity rooted in Slovak culture, left every visitor breathless.

Welcomed by Ivana Svetlik, who also served as a model for this project, and Boško Nedeljkov, a representative of the Naiva Art Kult association, we were granted a unique glimpse into the world of Kovačica’s naive art.

Throughout the project’s realization, we documented the life of the region, where emotions and perspectives spoke a universal language. As these adventures draw to a close, we eagerly await the end of summer, when we’ll marvel at the photographs that have captured the life and emotions of the region. The selected photographs will make their premiere appearance at the Moving Fireplaces 2023 festival in Temišvar, as part of the European Capital of Culture 2023 program.
