Festival Cirkuliranje in June and in the sign of the number 3 this year at three locations!
Cirkuliranje, a traditional festival of culture and art that was, so far, held only in Vršac in June, this year will exceed its usual limits and will circulate in three locations.
First, it starts with Timisoara, on June 10th and 11th, where we will participate as part of the European Capital of Culture for 2023. On the platform BANAT – European center of culture (BECK), we will stand out with a special project that represents an international photo colony called “My Neighborhood, With My Camera” (MNWMC). This noteworthy project was designed in cooperation with the unofficial photography academy Fabrika Fotografa from Belgrade, raising it to a new level and becoming a real international photo colony.
The MNWMC was selected through the Open Call for projects and artistic interventions for the Moving Fireplaces Festival 2023. Moving Fireplaces is organised by the Prin Banat Association and is part of the ”Timișoara 2023 – European Capital of Culture” Programme, funded by the Municipality of Timișoara, through the Center for Projects.
The photo-colony will bring together photography students from Szeged and Timisoara and students from the Fabrika Fotografa. The exhibition will be part of the art festival “Moving Fireplaces 2023” and will be presented to the public in Timisoara as part of the official program of ”Timișoara 2023 – European Capital of Culture” .
It is expected that the project will be presented in Szeged, Belgrade and Vršac during this year. You can read more about the project here.
In Vršac, on the weekend of June 16th to 18th, we will circulate in standard locations with the MNWMC photo colony, which will be held on Saturday, June the 17th.
On June 24th, Kovačica and Padina will host the final edition of the Cirkuliranje festival in June. This concludes this extended edition of the Cirkuliranje festival, traditionally reserved only for Vršac, where now we include new partners and expand our activities.
