On Saturday, January 29th 2022, The FIRST PART – workshop, ICT competition PUPIN’S CHALLENGE was held in the premises of the Regional Center for Talents “Mihajlo Pupin”. This part of the competition, together with the introductory class, serves to better acquaint the participants with the necessary knowledge for successful participation in the competition and later work on other projects.

After the introductory speech by the host – the Head of the Center Dragoljub Cucić and the Coordinator of Pupin’s Challenge Vladislav Petković, the participants were addressed by Stefan Djordjevic in front of the Center, as a mentor and lecturer at the workshop. Nenad Milenković, a mentor in front of the Mechanical School in Pančevo and the Center, also addressed us.

We had workshop participants from several high schools: Mathematical Gymnasium in Belgrade, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering School in Pančevo; as well as several students of the Center from primary schools.

The workshop represents practical work and education on theoretical and practical knowledge necessary for a successful performance in the upcoming competition, but also the basis for further development and understanding of electronics, physics, informatics and other disciplines.

The participants worked hard throughout the day and remained the most persistent until the end of the working day. Everyone agreed that they have learned a lot and that the set task requires a lot of knowledge and skills. Stefan Djordjevic has successfully completed his mission of mentor and lecturer and expects the continuation of activities within the competition itself.

The second part of the competition will be of a competitive nature, according to the combined method, where participants will have the opportunity to consult and work with mentors during the competition.

The final is scheduled for March 5th 2022, and it will last for that whole day. We believe that teams, that were prevented from coming, due to epidemiological reasons, will join us, have good company and adopt new and confirm already acquired knowledge.

In the following period, PUPIN’S CHALLENGE will post video materials related to this workshop, as well as additions related to the finals, which we expect in March.

See you!
