We celebrated a small jubilee – the fifth CIRKULIRANJE Festival, which was held from 11 to 13.9.2020. in Vršac, despite the epidemiological situation and in an shortened version, respecting all protection measures.
It is good to remind ourselves of a little of history and point out that this is, so far, the 11th edition of the Cirkuliranje event. The festival has been successfully realized in the previous 4 years (2016-2019) and has an international character.
Savez udruženja Cirkuliranje, through the festival CIRCULATION, has set the goal of connecting the entire Banat region, for now in 5 cities: Vrsac, Pancevo, Kikinda, Zrenjanin and Timisoara, with a plan for further expansion.
Cirkuliranje was created as an intercultural and transdisciplinary project, which set and sets sustainable directions of development and connections in the fields of culture, science, education and tourism. Visible humanitarian activity was also realized. Cirkuliranje is a festival that promotes the region and cities of Banat and their cultural features as a synthesis of the past and their present in the present.
In the previous period, cooperation was achieved with over 30 partners throughout the Republic of Serbia and the region. Cirkuliranje Festival is in the official calendar of the festival of the Tourist Organization of Vojvodina and a partner of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Romania.
One of the projects of greater importance within the Cirkuliranje festival is “BANAT – EUROPEAN CULTURAL CENTER”. The project deals with artistic creation and promotion of the culture of the region, which, with several units (art colonies, theater performances, music concerts, art workshops, education, public classes, forums, conferences …) becomes a gathering place for creative thought and a modern cultural manifesto.
This year, as part of the exhibition, we promoted new artists – Sanja Brezičanin and the young Ivana Valtl from the Morariu School-Studio.
A novelty this year is the PHOTO COLONY – “My Neighboorhood With My Camera” in cooperation with Fabrika Fotografa from Belgrade. This photo colony is also part of the international competition of the same name. About 20 photographers took part in the work of this colony.
The music school “Josif Marinković” held an excellent concert and the opening of the season in the building of Concordia, the City Museum of Vršac.
We also had a poetry evening on the summer stage of the Army House (Dom Vojske), where we listened to a good rock & roll and rocker approach to life by Stefan Kirilov.
A good gig that seemed to be much needed was held by the band “Kamene face” in the Klub Izazov on the Vršac hill. Sports activities were standard in the organization of the club.
One of the planned novelties – the beginning of the cycle of public lessons called CIRCLES OF TIME, and the planned public lesson – SECRETS OF THE VRSAC MUSEUM has been moved to October 2, 2020.
The Circle would like to take this opportunity to thank the City of Vršac, the Factory of Photographers and Aleksandra Popović from Belgrade, the Music School “Josif Marinković”, the City Museum of Vršac, the City Library of Vršac, the Museum of the City of Belgrade, Television Banat, RCT “Mihajlo Pupin”, Cultural Center Vršac, Tamas Fodor , The Tourist Organization of the City of Vršac, the Zvončići Music Center, the Kamena Face band, Pavlović Winery, Stefan Kirilov, Sanja Brezičanin, Ivana Waltl, the Morari School Atelier, the Izazov Club, the Koliba Club, Danijela and Dominika Morariu, the photographer Ognjen Dragana – enthusiasts on the realization of another Cirkuliranje Festival.
Cirkuliranje Festival with set goals aims to become one of the strategic festivals of cultural promoters of the city of Vršac and the region.
