Final Event of the Digital Challenge Project. From March 19 to 21, 2026, the final event of the international Erasmus+ project Digital Challenge will take place at Matematička gimnazija.
Implemented with the support of the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, the project brings to a close a successful cycle of regional cooperation between Serbia and Romania, highlighting the work of young participants who have been developing digital and STEM skills through mentorship, teamwork, and international collaboration.
The project has brought together students, mentors, and partners from Serbia and Romania, with all planned objectives successfully achieved ahead of schedule. The results and development of the project are presented in the annual report available on the Digital Challenge website – here.
The three-day program will culminate on Friday, March 20, when the main activities will take place at the Mathematical Grammar School. Students, teachers, mentors, partners, and collaborators involved in the project will gather alongside expected guests from educational institutions, the IT sector, and organizations from Serbia and the wider region, as well as representatives of the Ministries of Education of the Republic of Serbia and Romania.
The official opening ceremony is scheduled for March 20 at 13:00, while the central part of the program will feature:
- an exhibition of students’ works, including outcomes of the international camp held in Idvor and activities from participating schools in Serbia,
- the final hackathon, running from Friday to Saturday as a dynamic culmination of the project and an opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge developed during the program.
Additional activities and accompanying events are also being prepared and will be announced shortly before the finale, leaving part of the program as a discovery for guests and participants during the event itself.
The event will be organized in a hybrid format, allowing partners and guests to follow parts of the program online as well.
Digital Challenge demonstrates how modern educational approaches, institutional cooperation, and active engagement of young people can foster the development of skills that shape the future. In line with broader European educational priorities, initiatives like this help create an environment where young people can develop ideas, take initiative, and grow into the next generation of digital talent.
The finale at the Mathematical Grammar School will therefore become a meeting point of knowledge, creativity, and vision — a place where the future of education can already be seen through the work and enthusiasm of young minds.
